Prehistoric Party Time at Carnegie Library of Homestead

           Join local Environmental Educator Ms. Alexis and Shango the Sulcata Tortoise for a prehistoric lesson for the ages! Learn about Shango’s ancient ancestors, compare past adaptations to their present-day equivalents, and meet some live creatures. This program lasts about 45 minutes, and includes time afterward for questions and for giving Shango some shell scratches. 

Schenley Plaza 20th Anniversary Jubilee

Celebrate 20 years of Schenley Plaza with a joyful day of music, family fun, and community celebration in the heart of Oakland.

This free, open-to-the-public Jubilee will feature complimentary PNC Carousel rides, live entertainment—including a 21-piece big band and a special concert by Azure Family Concerts—fairytale character appearances, a balloon artist, face painting, caricatures, local vendors, and more surprises throughout the day.
