  • Undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh with a Major in Ecology and Evolution, and a Minor in Chemistry. She attended Miami University of Ohio and received her Master of Arts in Biology with a focus on teaching.

    • Fire Safety, Mandated Reporter, First Aid
  • Alexis is on the PA Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Council. The PA Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Council is an advisory council to the Pennsylvania Game Commission in matters concerning wildlife rehabilitation permits and wildlife possession permits for public education use. Experience

  • Alexis has taught in the informal education field since 2011. Working with zoos, wildlife rehabilitation centers and non-profit organizations has given her experiences in teaching all over the world. 
  • Alexis is a trainer and has vast experience training animals to voluntarily join her during educational programming. She has worked with Birds of Prey, Mammals such as Opossums, Porcupines, Skunks, Foxes, and Domestics,  Reptiles such as Lizards, Snakes and Tortoises and even fish – sharks to be exact!
